Upon selling my family owned business to a National Auto Parts chain – I took over ½ of their Automotive Paint Stores and over the next 12 years – we (Our Management TEAM) grew the Company from 22 stores to 175 stores The last few years (as we expanded) – I handled Inventory Control and Field Audit for all 175 Stores . I was also involved with the acquisition process of the business’s that we bought (95% of these were family owned business’s) As a Regional Vice President, I was responsible for Sales and Operations for our stores East of the Mississippi plus Texas, Arizona, and a chain of stores in Canada (Ontario). Many of the stores and chains we purchased were in a distressed state and I was able to both increase Sales and increase PROFITS so that their ROI was 18-25% annually. Growing a business does not happen without empowering the individuals that report to you to be as successful as possible and upon my retirement I was pleased to see these individuals “move up “within the organization. I have helped stores with Inventory Management by controlling and overseeing purchasing from suppliers maintaining efficient levels of stock that efficiently control the amount of product for sale and order fulfillment.
