Simple Steps for Starting Your Business: Module 2 - Defining Your Business Concept

business concept

In this second module of the Simple Steps for Starting Your Business online course, you will learn how to evaluate your business concept. You'll do this by reviewing a feasibility plan draft of a sample business. You'll also research industry profile data, customer data, financial projections, and other information.

This module will show you how to evaluate your business ideas in order to decide whether or not you should move forward with your business concept or go back to the drawing board.

Download the Simple Steps for Starting Your Business workbook that accompanies the modules and provides more information.

Have you skipped a step? Take part 1 of the online course: Startup Basics.

Then finish the remaining modules:

Part 3: Developing Your Marketing Plan

Part 4: Creating Your Financial Projections

Part 5: Identifying Funding Sources & Next Steps

Along with taking these online modules, contact your local chapter and determine if the in-person workshops are available in your community. At the local workshops, you will have the opportunity to learn from local experts, connect with your personal mentor for free answers to your business questions, and meet other aspiring small business owners.

And, don't forget to download the Simple Steps for Starting Your Business workbook for more startup information.
